Chloé Albaret was born in France. She started dancing contemporary and ballet in 2005 at age 15 with and very quickly developed a deep passion for this art form. She then decided that she wanted to train full time and make a career in dance. In 2007, she entered a pre-professional school named Mondap’Art in Nîme, France. In 2008, Chloe auditioned and was accepted at the Ballet Junior of Geneva in Switzerland where she studied dance for two years. In 2010, she joined the renowned Nederlands Dans Theater 2 under the direction of Gerald Tibbs and moved to the main company Nederlands Dans Theater 1 in 2013 under the direction of Paul Lightfoot. Throughout her 12 years of career in NDT she worked with many choreographers such as Jirí Kylián, Sol León & Paul Lightfoot, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Sharon Eyal, Peeping Tom to name a few. In 2019, Chloé was nominated for the prestigious Dutch dance award “Zwaan” in the category “most impressive dance performance” and has won the prize for the same category in 2020. After leaving NDT in 2022, Chloé continued her dance career as a freelancer. She performed as a guest dancer with Ballet BC, Tero Saarinen and Peeping Tom.
She is also working with numerous dance companies assisting and staging works of choreographers Sol Leòn & Paul Lightfool and Imre & Marne van Opstal. In addition, she is teaching dance as an international guest teacher throughout Europe.
