Olena Arbuzova (b. 4 January 1983 in Khmelnytsky, Ukraine) graduated from the Khmelnytsky Institute of Music and later studied classical singing at the Ukrainian Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music under the guidance of the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian singer, coloratura soprano Prof. Yevgeniya Miroshnichenko (2001).
Since 2007, she has been a soloist at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre, where she made her debut as Odette in Imre Kálmán's operetta La Bayadere and subsequently created leading soprano roles in many of the theatre's productions. The most notable of these are Rosalinda in Strauss Jr. Die Fledermaus and Violeta in Kálmán's Das Veilchen vom Montmartre.
The owner of a remarkably wide (more than three octaves) range of voice, she has accumulated a very diverse repertoire, which includes not only many of the main soprano roles in operettas, operas and musicals, but also soprano parts in concert and chamber works of different periods in various genres, from baroque arias, oratorios by Handel, Haydn, Schumann, and Mendelssohn to contemporary Ukrainian music. In 2016, as a guest soloist at the Lviv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S. Krushelnytska, she performed the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, and in 2018 she was a guest soloist was a guest soloist at the Kharkiv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M. Lysenko, where she took part in many concerts organised by the theatre, created the role of Iolanta in Tchaikovsky's opera of the same title, and the role of Rosina in Rossini's opera Il barbiere di Siviglia. Other important operatic roles include Lucia in Donizetti's Lucia di Lamermoor and Norina in the opera of the same title, Madame Herz in Mozart's singspiel Der Schauspieldirektor and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Marfa in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's The Tsar's Bride, Brigitta in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto and Violetta in La traviata, Norma in Bellini's opera of the same title, and Olympia in Offenbach's Les contes d’Hoffmann.
Between 2016 and 2022 she performed with the Luna Ensemble, a baroque music ensemble. In 2018, she honed her Baroque music performance skills at the Austria Barock Akademie.
As a soloist, she has performed with many Ukrainian orchestras, as well as with renowned ensembles based in Kyiv, Ukraine, including the Kyiv Soloists, the Kyiv Camerata, the NAONI Ukrainian Folk Orchestra, and the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. In 2018–2022, he collaborated with the Odessa Symphony Orchestra, founded and led by conductor and composer Andriy Chernyy, and participated in the orchestra's tour of Ukraine with various film music and symphonic rock projects. Since 2016, she has been collaborating with contemporary Ukrainian composers, performing world premieres of their works.
She has toured Poland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Portugal with various ensembles and concert programmes.
